We would extend our wellbeing services to all generations by offering alternative ways to connect through a new community cafe, telephone befriending service and bereavement support group.

About this cause
We provide wellbeing services to the local community of Hotwells, Cliftonwood, Spike Island and the Harbourside. This is centred on our weekly day centre for over-60s, which offers a home-cooked meal, entertainment and companionship throughout the year (currently closed due to Covid-19). Through warm hospitality, we aim to increase connections and reduce loneliness within our community.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project is focused on increasing connections and bringing together local people of all ages so that they can get to know their neighbours and reduce isolation. We would develop the church building as a hub for the community, as well as provide telephone and online services using local volunteers for those who are less able to leave their homes during the pandemic and in the future.
