Major re-decoration will allow us to present a smart, clean and attractive facility, easier to keep clean post-Covid-19, for the training and development of young people who will become Sea Cadets.
About this cause
Rickmansworth and Watford Sea Cadets helps children between the ages of ten and seventeen. We have between 40 and 50 in the unit at any time. Our purpose is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our work helps young people take roles in the heart of their communities. It's already clear that post-Covid-19 demand for services like ours will increase, and this project will help us meet it better. We already help our cadets to achieve highly, both as cadets and at school, and to be well regarded and involved members of their community wherever they go. The need for this will not change.
