Christ Church URC, Petts Wood
We have a large church garden that is used extensively by the community. We would like to provide seating, a space for mindfulness and a children's community garden with a free community library.

About this cause
Halls are used by a number of organisations for various activities from babies up to the elderly. These could be social activities, singing, youth uniformed organisations, various types of exercise groups. We run a luncheon club for the elderly, alongside two toddler and baby groups, and we are co-founders of a Playgroup for children with special needs. AA also use our halls every week.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have at least 100-150 people walking through our garden every day on the way to the station. Since lockdown we have had hundreds of people using the garden to play, have picnics, meet and socially distance with family/friends. We have people who are using the garden to help their mental health who have felt fragile and cooped up. We have people weeding so they can feel 'part of the world'.
