About this cause
We aim to help via the study, practice and encouragement of brass band music in all of its forms, in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance or otherwise, including the training and education of brass players.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We estimate the impact of coronavirus to be significant. We will lose members as the interest in playing will have disappeared, and those that do return will have fallen behind in their practice, so part of the money will be spent on supporting players to catch up. By attracting more members we will be able to grow the ranks again and keep the organisation going for years to come.
