Our Lady of Lourdes Community Foodbank Project

We would like to purchase secure storage to continue to keep our school grounds open as the local community donation hub for food and clothing, which supports the food bank.
About this cause
Our organisation is a Parent, Teacher & Friends association (PTFA) which was set up to develop links between the school and the local community. We support and organise local community projects, working with environmental campaigners and fundraising for charitable causes. During the coronavirus pandemic we became the local hub to receive food and clothing donations for families within the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Throughout the pandemic our school has reached out to the community for donations and the response has been exceptional. We work to support the local food bank who feed 400+ people a week, and in just six weeks we have collected more than 60 boxes of food. We are the only donation point for our community; they wish to continue to donate and we wish to continue our service.
