We would like to organise events that make lasting memories for children and families living with serious illnesses and disabilities, as well as those who have suffered bereavement.
About this cause
Forward Facing provides fun activities for children and young people with long-term and life-limiting conditions, or those who have experienced bereavement. We aim to give these children and their families an opportunity to have fun and make happy memories. We also provide a chance for families to meet others who are in a similar situation, reducing isolation and providing essential support.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The families we work with have been significantly impacted by coronavirus. They are some of the most medically vulnerable, and so have had to self-isolate from the start of the lockdown. Many have lost essential support and experienced huge financial strain. Our project will give them a chance of some fun, along with some much-needed support and contact with others in a similar situation.
