We wish to provide a diverse range of activities to give new experiences and opportunities to adults with learning disabilities and form new partnerships within our community.
About this cause
We are a day resource for adults with learning disabilities and manage one-to-one support packages. We offer a range of activities and experiences that encourage independence, training for work, improve wellbeing and new skills to lead more inclusive lives within the community. We operate our own cafe one day a week and our activities include health, life skills and community related projects.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our community projects, such as growing and planting wildflowers in our village, educate the public on what people with disabilities can do, when given the right support and opportunities. This will encourage our community to get involved and to engage with others. Our proposed project will enhance their wellbeing, mental health, and reintroduce more social interaction.
