Increasing social wellbeing at Hill House

We would like to create an immersive cinema experience for our disabled residents using a Sony projector, screen and speakers.

About this cause
Leonard Cheshire is the UK’s leading pan-disability charity. We support around 3,000 people in the UK every day, from supported living schemes to those with high dependence and 24/7 nursing needs. We provide accessible, fully inclusive opportunities for disabled people to gain independence. Hill House is home to 24 residents with complex physical disabilities and is situated next a Co-op shop.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Post the Covid-19 lockdown we would very much like to set up a befriending programme and invite members of the local community to enjoy a film and refreshments at Hill House. Enabling them to meet and interact with one another, building friendships. Our aim is to provide wider support for our residents and the local community and help to reduce social isolation and increase well-being.
