We aim to raise awareness (digital & physical) of community activities/events occurring in the area to create connections between people and places in Elephant and Castle and reduce loneliness.
About this cause
ESH is a community initiative in the Elephant and Castle area. We believe that by connecting people to the things going on in the local neighbourhood (at different levels) we can indirectly help to fight loneliness. We have undertaken a number of events to connect people and organisations, and have established a website and Instagram accounts for those in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The purpose of Elephant Says Hi is to bring communities together to end loneliness. The groups that are part of the network support each other and the local community. The map and social media support will raise awareness of the amazing activities happening in Elephant and Castle during lockdown/coronavirus. This will bring people together to connect with the local community.
