We would like to make use of the wonderful space we have on our grounds and build a log cabin for children to learn in and allow other community groups to use it, including the elderly and Scouts.
About this cause
As a school, we are the heartbeat of our community. We serve the families in our village and surrounding areas too, not just by teaching them but by running a variety of pre/post-school clubs to ensure parents can get to work; by running events for our elderly neighbours to come and join in with us; through local support of shops and stores in the village (the Co-op being one of them) and much more.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We want to build community cohesion with this project, inviting different community groups to benefit from the cabin. We specifically want to involve the elderly residents more, inviting them in to share their stories and skills or growing produce to share with them.
