We would like the riverside nature area to be safer and accessible for everyone. By repairing the path and steps, this amazing place can then be used and enjoyed by the community.
About this cause
Springvale Community Garden helps by providing a place for education, conservation and purposeful recreation. We attract schools, community groups, regular and occasional corporate volunteers and visitors of all ages. Green spaces, healthy eating, community growing, community involvement, neighbourhood pride, and good physical/mental health are all part of what we do and what local people value.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project aims to open up the area for people of all ages to relax, be together and enjoy the natural environment on their doorstep. We hope it will be a great outdoor classroom for schools and other children's groups. We would also like to plant trees that provide a natural harvest for people and wildlife, creating more interest in nature and wellbeing. Being outdoors is a lifeline for many.
