We aim to provide free transport to hospital appointments for cancer patients, alongside free professional counselling and wellbeing services for people affected by cancer and coronavirus bereavement.
About this cause
We provide practical and emotional support for people affected by cancer and coronavirus. We provide free patient transport to hospital, wellbeing services, befriending services and professional counselling. We also offered our expertise when coronavirus began to affect our communities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Many of our volunteer drivers come from the Stewarton area and we have many service users in this area; our telephone befriending service ensures we contact those in need in that area. We also provide assistance for local people affected by coronavirus bereavement, and provide trauma support for NHS staff and carers within the community.
