We would like to run two Teen Life courses in Reading for parents of autistic children aged 10 to 16, and professionals who work with families, to help them support young people at this key stage.

About this cause
Our mission is to help and support anyone living with autism in Berkshire. We aim to enhance the current provision of specialised services and support available to them, with the purpose of improving the quality of life of autistic people and giving them maximum independence.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Autistic people often struggle with social and communication skills, leading to isolation and loneliness, with attendant risks to wellbeing and mental health. Many also rely on established routines to cope with life. Lockdown has broken these routines and increased their sense of isolation. The courses will connect parents and share knowledge, so they can support their children better.
