Moving On Group - Ilkley and District Good Neighbours
Many of our members felt isolated during lockdown due to lack of skills. We would like to buy some equipment so that we can teach them how to access the internet using FaceTime and Zoom.

About this cause
Ilkley and District Good Neighbours' aim is to support older people who are living independently. We have a range of projects which help people to remain independent by enabling, supporting and providing friendship. We help people with social care needs by providing friendship and support to help maintain independence and by introducing them to activities at our weekly social group.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The importance of human connection is paramount. Having the skills to access the web and be able to connect with others and the wider community makes such a difference to all people but especially our older generation. We have witnessed the difference – our members who have the skills have been doing exercises, singing, etc. Those without have reported feelings of depression.
