We would provide children and their families with an outdoor stage area on which to play, perform and be independent. This would improve social, physical and literacy skills, and promote wellbeing.
About this cause
Callis Grange Nursery and Infant School is a three-form infant school with its own nursery, and has 296 pupils on roll, aged 3-7. We serve a very varied community in an area of significant deprivation. However, we are passionate educators of young children who whole-heartedly believe in overcoming barriers and helping all children to achieve their full potential.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The outdoor stage area would be used for many whole school events, including family sporting events, performances for the community, local organisation workshops and charity events. We hold annual events to support and promote a range of local sports and recreational clubs within the community, from the scouts to football clubs, to promote a sense of community spirit and build relationships.
