Sight for Surrey

We would like to provide a range of recreational and life-skills opportunities for deaf people aged 18-35, to enable them to participate in activities alongside others who have a similar disability.
About this cause
Sight for Surrey was established nearly 100 year ago and has grown into one of the most respected services for visually or hearing impaired people in the UK, despite being a regional service. People with sensory loss can be isolated and we aim to break through that isolation and help them to be included, respected and listened to.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to ensure that these young people have access to the same life opportunities as their hearing peers. Meeting others helps to reduce isolation and gives a feeling of solidarity. Our activities would support the mental and physical health of this young deaf community and help them to reach their full potential by developing their skills and confidence.
