About this cause
Annually, we support 3,500 people across our community. Bradford is one of England’s mental health black-spots. Hospital admissions, ‘sections’ and common mental health problems are among the highest in the country. Our nationally pioneering, peer-led approach provides crisis support, a pathway to employment and a reason for living. Over 9 in 10 of our clients improve their mental wellbeing.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Coronavirus has exacerbated mental health problems and undermined people’s job security. We’ll support people with mental health problems in our local community who are furthest from the job market. We’ll bring people together to improve their confidence and mental wellbeing, helping them into employment. 87% of people we support have increased confidence and 68% feel more ready to get a job.
