Down Syndrome Liverpool
We would put on a Christmas party for more than 400 people. It would be an opportunity for parents and carers, those with Down syndrome and their siblings to meet together to socialise and interact.

About this cause
We give support to parents and carers of people with Down syndrome. We help with education issues and speech therapy, we train professionals and we simply listen. We help parents to meet, share ideas, make friends and avoid isolation. Events are held in the community for all ages, encouraging independence, developing social skills and raising awareness.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Coronavirus has had a detrimental effect on the Down syndrome community. Those with Down syndrome have experienced social isolation, with the cancellation of many events where social skills are learned and confidence developed. Many parents have missed the positive effect of exchanging experiences with others. A Christmas party would bring the Down syndrome family together.
