Bristol Dementia Action Alliance
Pending display name
Our project will help promote the awareness and understanding of dementia within the communities of Bristol.

About this cause
The aim of the alliance is to make Bristol the most dementia friendly city in the UK. We support those living with dementia and their loved ones, and educate the community by: running a monthly Memory Café; organising dementia awareness sessions for organisations, clubs, groups and businesses; running dementia events, workshops and information stalls; and running a website with free resources.
How this cause brings people in the community together
People with dementia are being seriously impacted by isolation and health worries due to Covid-19. We need our communities to understand dementia rather than fear it and to see the person with the illness. We aim to remove the stigma and isolation a dementia diagnosis can cause by raising awareness and understanding of this illness. We also share resources for people living with dementia.
