Sport and Arts in the Community (SpArC) SW Shropshire
We would like to buy water play equipment to boost children's water confidence and increase parents' social confidence; both of which have been dented by enforced isolation.

About this cause
SpArC Charity first protected its Leisure Centre from closure. Its aims are now to:invest in equipment and training, improve health/wellbeing, raise young people’s skills/job prospects, and increase community engagement. Young lifeguards/sports leaders have been trained and holiday schemes are regularly run. To date, a pool cover, changing facilities, pocket park, spin bikes and energy reductions have all been funded.

How this cause brings people in the community together
We have trained 14-16 year-old lifeguards to support children's swimming. We have funding for a pocket park that has wheelchair access, a climbing wall and volunteer gardeners; and we are planning a volunteer-led café to bring adults together. By boosting water confidence, we can offer an all-round sport and leisure experience for young people, people with disabilities, families and carers.
