Following the pandemic, we know we will need to support our community more so than ever. We would like to open a social space for children, and provide food supplies for those affected financially.
About this cause
Whitley Community Development Association's purpose is to work with residents/partners within the local area to make positive changes ensuring local voices are heard. We work with partners to offer life skills courses, training, social activities and continued opportunities to access services, in turn enabling job opportunities and enhancing the quality of life to all residents living in the area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to open somewhere that is a community space for people to have access to benefits advice and surplus food; plus a place where they can come and have a chat and a tea with other local people.
