Furlock Holmes Animal Rescue

We would like to create an outdoor classroom and hand-washing area to allow groups to safely visit the Rescue for educational and therapy purposes whilst maintaining good hygiene standards.
About this cause
When people can no longer care for their pets, we take them in and care for the animals until they are in full health, including the provision of medical treatment for any illness/injury, when we find them a new home. We educate the public about animal welfare and the responsibilities of pet ownership as well as taking our animals into various organisations for therapy and education purposes.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will provide an outdoor, low-risk activity for vulnerable groups to get out and about despite the coronavirus pandemic. With an outdoor classroom and outdoor hand-washing facilities, visitors from all backgrounds will be safer when visiting. Special-needs groups and elderly groups will be able to visit and remain safe despite the restrictions caused by their health.
