We will offer a programme of health and wellbeing activities for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, so they can remain fit and healthy. It will be delivered remotely and in small groups.
About this cause
We provide a wealth of opportunities for disabled adults in London, from employability schemes and accredited vocational training, through to arts, sports, therapeutic and recreational services. We run two social enterprises - Share Catering and Share Garden - that provide on-the-job training and access to volunteering and employment.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will mobilise our trained and vetted volunteers to deliver activities out in the community that reach adults with learning disabilities and autism, who are isolated because of Covid-19. Volunteers will help us to get people physically active and offer fun activities online that; lift people's spirits, help them to feel less alone, and create a sense of community.
