About this cause
Newquay Foodbank's objective is to relieve financial hardship to the public benefit by distributing food to people in need of supplies due to poverty. We also offer additional support by way of signposting or referral to other agencies to alleviate the underlying causes of food poverty.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project brings the local community together, with the help of the Rotary Club, to provide fresh food for local people who are most in need. This brings a greater sense of community spirit to our town, which is reflected by the support we receive from local people, who assist in any way they can to help the food bank.
