About this cause
Featherstone Rovers Foundation is a registered charity. We deliver projects and activities within Featherstone and the wider area of Wakefield District. Our aim is to inspire and motivate individuals to create positive changes in their community, through delivering activities under our five focus areas: health, social inclusion, learning, physical activity, and heritage and arts.
How this cause brings people in the community together
During the Covid-19 crisis we have seen many issues that our communities are facing. It is well anticipated that mental health support will be invaluable once restrictions are relaxed, which our project is designed to support. Members of our community have been experiencing a very isolated, stressful, worrying time, not only for health reasons but financially, with jobs being at risk.
