About this cause
We help the community by returning a treasured asset back to the community to reconnect to the past and learn more about the people and history of those interred, whilst preserving the ecology for the community. The Farsley Rehoboth Burial Ground containing 4,018 people, was a place of interment from 1785 to 2000. The two-acre site reflects the history and growth of the Farsley area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We host a variety of events including; history tours for all within the community, dementia friendly events, and ecology and wildlife tours for integrated groups. We record the memories of relatives and residents, preserve the history interred in the Rehoboth with a digital book, as well as providing historic photos and detailed maps.
