About this cause

Based in East Sussex, we support young people with complex disabilities such as cerebral palsy, sensory impairments and limited verbal communication. We maximise independence and help them develop communication methods. The Foundation comprises a non-maintained special school, residential care for under 25s, day services for young adults, and a community service to young adults at home.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The project will give disabled young people the chance to be outdoors and enjoy the benefits of growing plants that they can use in cookery sessions. We will also welcome visits from local school groups who will be able to participate and engage with their disabled peers. The farm already has six volunteers and we will aim to double that number to support the space as it develops.
