We would like to connect people with befriending support via phones and technology, as well as offer day trips and gatherings, when we can.
About this cause
Established in 1997, our aim is to support people by relieving isolation and loneliness through the provision of accessible services, such as befriending, supporting wellbeing, car transport to healthcare facilities, all to enrich the lives of service users. We tailor support to meet the individual needs of our clients, improving their participation in the wider community and increasing their independence and wellbeing.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Since March, TRIP has helped 4,000 support requests, from coordinating shopping to befriending support, with the whole focus on helping the community keep well and helping people keep themselves safe. This has only been possible because of the amazing community volunteers who stepped up to help their community! The feedback has been overwhelming.
