We would like to purchase a safety boat to help our young people develop new skills and have fun on the water.
About this cause
We support young people aged 10-18. We help cadets develop and create a future within the community and further afield. We offer courses in sailing, canoeing, first aid, adventure training, catering and much more. We strive to ensure everyone is treated as an equal part of the team. We teach life skills and, most of all, how to have fun and make friends.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our unit has provide our young people with continued support during the epidemic. Sea cadet sessions have been provide online, along with community chats and weekly catch-ups. We have been on hand 24 hours a day if any of our cadets or their families have needed us. We have worked as one team to ensure the health and wellbeing of our cadets and adult volunteers.
