About this cause
YMCA Plymouth is an independent charity established in 1848, which offers a wide range of services across Plymouth and Torpoint. Our mission is to deliver professional and personable services to support our community across three strategic areas: health, education and family needs We're affiliated to the national YMCA, although autonomous, enabling us to shape provision to address local needs.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We are taking a unique approach to community outreach, re-engaging vulnerable young people following the lockdown. These include independent livers, those with additional needs and mental health issues, those excluded from school and youth offenders. This money would allow us to help the most vulnerable young people in the city gain employability skills to reinvest back into their community.
