About this cause

Celebrating 30 years of "Growing Differently" the Prospects Trust at Snakehall Farm was established in 1989 to provide meaningful work experience to people with additional needs, on an 18 acre organic care farm in rural Cambridgeshire. In a milestone year, the Prospects Trust is setting up a new service in Ely, Cambridgeshire, providing real work experience, in a social green grocery and food waste luncheon club serving older and vulnerable members of the wider community.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The luncheon clubs will bring the Prospects Trust Unwrapped co-workers (adults with additional needs) and the Lighthouse Centre's volunteers/staff to create a seasonal and sustainable luncheon club aimed at older, vulnerable people as well as families on low income (during school holidays). Serving around 40-50 people each session, the meals will utilise donated food waste.
