The African Community School provide a safe environment for children aged 6-16 years, as well as adults and families, through a range of services to relieve poverty and promote social and economic wellbeing. We work with children and parents in the African and African-Caribbean communities, inclusive of other ethnic minorities, to advance and support the National Curriculum through the provision of various out-of-school education support, activities and projects. As wellbeing activities support the physical health of children and young people, we provide a wide range of free play, outdoor educational trips, teamwork, arts and crafts sessions to disadvantaged children. We enable children and young people to develop the skills and values they need to succeed and reach their full potential.
These activities will encourage young people to develop a wide range of free play, educational and personal development skills. Offsite trips and indoor activities will encourage people to feel a greater connection to their community, so they are able to continue making a positive contribution.
