About this cause
Acton Ealing Whistlers is a grassroots community football club based in West London and is affiliated to the Football Association. The club is a Charter Standard football club. Our club’s mission is to give children, from all backgrounds and levels of playing ability, the opportunity to come and play football in a warm, friendly, inclusive and fun-filled environment. All players are encouraged to have fun, make friendships, play as a team and be good sports people. They are reminded that success comes from building team spirit on and off the pitch. We support wider sports participation by providing good opportunities for volunteers' growth and development through coaching or refereeing roles and also committee and governance positions at the club.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Much of our renovation work will be carried out by volunteers and will be build on the supportive spirit evident at our club. The work to enhance the external area will provide our community with an area to sit, socialise and enjoy our grounds in a more comfortable way. These actions will facilitate the club's continued growth and bring about greater sports participation at all levels.
