About this cause
Our aim is for our residents to have a good quality of life and a sense of belonging, where everyone feels part of a caring and supportive environment. We provide and co-ordinate support for people to enable them to live independent lives. By working in partnership with other organisations and our network of volunteers we identify people’s needs and meet them through a diverse range of services. Where we cannot meet this need, we provide information, advice and signpost other agencies and services. We run a car scheme, day centres, minibus outings, meals on wheels and schemes such as knit and natter and a crossword group.

How this cause brings people in the community together
Hosting pop-up lunches, afternoon teas, exercise classes and minibus outings would enable people in the community to spend time together which will improve their physical and mental health and reduce social isolation. Local businesses can also engage with EDCCA and the community to further stimulate joint community activities for all demographic groups.
