Community Housing and Therapy (CHT) supports people with complex mental health needs. We provide care, support and psychotherapy treatment within residential accommodation. The living environment itself is therapeutic, enabling beneficiaries to engage with society in a way they find fulfilling. Relationship-building is at the heart of what we do, and our staff develop authentic relationships with beneficiaries in order to help them grow. We work with people at moments of key transition and many of our clients come to us from traditional psychiatric units which have limited ability to provide tailored, individual support.
This project will teach our beneficiaries new skills and increase their confidence and self-belief. Outside the charity, it will give the public the opportunity to meet and interact with our beneficiaries and learn about mental health. This will reduce stigma and bring the wider community together, by building bridges between people with very different experiences.
