Having a mental health problem can be a critical time in a person’s life. Therefore, it is vital that people get the right help and support. After meeting a patient, who passed away in 2013, Toni Hale decided to set up the MHA Trust to help people with mental health issues get back into work or education, reduce isolation and learn new skills. The organisation has placed 50 people in employment and helped over 1,000 with welfare-related issues.
Our project will give people the opportunity to help their own community by fixing and upcycling items that would normally be thrown away. We will provide the required equipment and expertise, with classes for all age groups. This will also prevent isolation and enhance social inclusion within the community.
