About this cause
Our organisation offers opportunities to autistic adults, through social hubs, a weekly radio show, and a biannual concert and ball. All our activities are free to our members. Our weekly radio show on ALLFM 96.9 provides an opportunity for autistic adults to talk, present and learn all aspects of producing and running a radio show. Our social hubs provide a variety of activities, including table-tennis, board games and outdoor sports. We have a cookery session where members prepare lunch. To many on the spectrum, the condition can be socially isolating. Our social hubs provides the opportunity to meet and socialise in a safe environment. Most people take socialising for granted. Those on the spectrum do not, therefore our activities are free.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Many adults on the Spectrum are socially isolated. Our social hubs are the only opportunity some of our members have to meet others outside of their home. This will provide the opportunity to socialise, and enable them to be themselves and meet like-minded people.
