About this cause
No5 Young People has been providing free, confidential, professional counselling and mental health support to children and young people, aged 10-25, who live, work, or study in the RG postcode area, since 1971. We provide early intervention and prevention mental health services and offer open-access, self-referral services that allow young people to access services when they need them. We support children, young people and their families through whatever it is they have been going through by giving them the time and space to be heard and to work through their difficulties, finding their own solutions and resolutions. No5 Young People strives to demonstrate that mental health difficulties are a normal response to what people have experienced.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This support will allow 70 young people to have better relationships with their families, their peers and their communities. Many young people isolate themselves when they are struggling with their mental health and so supporting them to be resilient will enable them to play an active, positive role in their communities.
