We aim to purchase special resources and activities to enable children to reach their full potential which in turn benefits the community.

About this cause
Laira Green Trust runs Greenshoots Pre-School and Wraparound Care for children aged 2–11 years. The pre-school has 49 children attending the setting and provides a range of learning and development opportunities in a safe, friendly, home-from-home environment. The Early Years Practitioners strive to ensure the children have opportunities to enable them to reach their full potential. The pre-school uses the Early Years Foundation Stage to support the mental and physical wellbeing of all the children in its care. We work in partnership with parents/carers and other agencies to ensure the child is at the centre of all that we do. Work undertaken with pre-school children is vital in ensuring the foundation for lifelong learning and development.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Greenshoots has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted this year with special mention of the work we do with children who have Special Educational or Disability Needs (SEND). Intervention in the early years is critical to ensuring children reach their full potential. Working with families is part of this role which benefits the wider community both now and for the future.
