We plan to make Foxglove Covert's award winning, mosaic of natural habitats and inspiring, educational spaces, more accessible to everyone.

About this cause
Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve covers 100 acres of moorland-edge at the heart of Catterick Garrison. It is a remarkable, award-winning, mosaic of natural habitats and home to more than 2,600 species, with a state-of-the-art field centre available to inspire, educate and entertain. The reserve attracts over 20,000 visitors each year from the local community and further afield. Having recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, Foxglove Covert was also the star attraction in Tony Robinson’s TV programme 'Coast to Coast', further emphasising its national importance and significant value as a first-class resource in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Foxglove Covert provides hundreds of different and exciting volunteer opportunities for the whole community, to preserve and create a unique natural resource that will be available for generations to come. Volunteering is open to everyone, regardless of who they are, or what their background, age or abilities are.
