About this cause

Our active rehoming programme sees many of the animals coming through our door find new homes, but for those too elderly or unwell, we provide a sanctuary where they can remain cared for, safe and secure for the rest of their lives. We rescue and rehome within the local area. We strongly believe that educating young people and adults in animal care and welfare creates a more compassionate attitude towards all animals. We therefore provide work experience placements for schools, the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and universities. Our staff and volunteers are also more than happy to talk to schools, Brownies and other groups.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Local groups such as schools and Brownie packs will be able to enjoy the sanctuary and then learn more about the animals in our care and how to care correctly for their pets. We will also be organising talks from local vets and other professionals within the animal industry for local people to learn from.
