About this cause

Lomond and Argyll Advocacy assists and supports members of the community to be heard and included in decisions that affect them. We ensure the most vulnerable members of our community are aided to have their voices heard and that they are treated fairly and are included as part of their community. Advocacy ensures that individuals have an independent voice, and someone on their side. Our main priority groups are: people with a learning disability, people with mental health issues, people over 65 and people with a long-term condition.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Our project will bring the student community together to learn skills that will enable them to integrate and communicate with their wider community. The communities will benefit through their improved problem-solving skills and the ability to self-manage. They will be more resilient and able to help others with self-advocacy skills.
