Our project will bring local groups together such as schools, Scouts, memory and community cafés, all under one roof.
About this cause
We plan to digitise the burial registers and churchyard plans and gather details of aural history from members of the local community and incorporate them into our digital archive. The project will help us engage with members of the local community who are not church members and develop a more ecological approach to managing the churchyard.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will involve all our town's groups in our activities, including the Town Council, by developing the churchyard into a community space. New digital archives will record the past and encourage residents of all ages to learn about our local history.
