About this cause

QPR (Queen's Park Rangers) in the Community aims to provide projects that will have a positive outcome on participants' health, education, social inclusion and involvement. We have a multi-activity approach to challenging issues faced by people in disadvantaged or deprived areas of West London. We deliver our projects in partnership with other organisations so they have the greatest impact, tackling national issues at a local level. Some of our projects include: Premier League Kicks, which tackles antisocial behaviour and low-level crime, encourages volunteering and provides routes back into education, training and employment for young people aged 12 to 18; and Extra Time, which offers physical activity and a social club for the over-60s.

How this cause brings people in the community together

This project will involve people working together, which will impact on a healthier future. Families will work together to learn how to prepare healthy meals and take part in physical activity that will impact on their long-term health. Bringing local families together through their children may help people who may be socially isolated due to childcare or being new to the area.
