Louie’s Helping Hands is a children's charity run by a small team of volunteer mums. The charity’s main purpose is to help support the children who attend the Llewellyn School in Westbrook. Since 2016 we have helped to provide equipment and alternative therapies to children aged between 2 and 11, who have a vast range of complex and medical needs within our community.
Each week, when funding allows, the children from the Llewellyn School attend our horse riding therapy sessions. Individually, the children gain so much from these sessions. Louie was diagnosed as never being able to walk but, with the help of horse riding, has built his core strength and muscle control to now be able to walk with very little help.
