We nurture interdependence and reciprocity between the older residents and our volunteers. We are responsive to local needs making a significant contribution to preventing escalation of health and care needs, and associated service use. Our current services include: Adopt a garden good neighbour scheme, befriending for those who are housebound, decorating, digital inclusion, gardening, social clubs to help beat isolation and loneliness, art group, chair based exercise groups, Fulham Carers, Fulham Lunch Club, Fulham Sunday Afternoon Tea, Silver Club, shared reading group.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Good Neighbour Scheme will offer practical help at home, especially to local older people in Fulham by linking them with younger volunteers. Like a good neighbour, the volunteers will offer help with diverse practical tasks. This will allow local residents of all generations and backgrounds to get to know each other and form a close-knit community.
