We want to offer our community choir weekly professional singing lessons, helping breast cancer patients escape their worries.
About this cause
Our charity helps Men and Woman going through Breast Cancer above and beyond NHS means. For 18 years we have bought diagnostic equipment for the QE Hospital in Birmingham and help patients with much needed support and provide soft services ie real hair wigs, Mastectomy Bras, Tattooing ETC. We have provided 2 memory holidays for two one parents families. We give emotional and practical support and our objectives for over last 18 years are firstly to raise awareness of Breast Cancer in our community and the importance of women and men regularly checking themselves, and the priority of attending your mammogram appointment as early detection saves lives. We have provided road shows on Breast Cancer awareness into the corporate working enviroment to raise much needed awareness for their staff.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will bring together patients who are going through a Breast Cancer diagnosis into a safe and welcoming enviroment through the joy of singing which has proven to be very beneficial for their mental welfare as they would not otherwise meet at Hospital and it will give them much needed relief from their every day cancer worries through the joy of singing together with like minded people.
