About this cause
Many of our buildings are old, having been intended as temporary facilities over a decade ago. We are looking to improve the accessibility of existing facilities, especially to make our doors more fully accessible for modern mobility aids. This includes levelling entrances, widening doorways and improving ramps where entrances can’t be level. This will make our site more welcoming and inclusive for our workers, volunteers, staff and visitors.
How this cause brings people in the community together
People with learning difficulties attend Brunswick to learn new skills and undertake work in plant and food production, retail, crafts and administration. They are supported in their training and work by staff and volunteers. We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly and productive organisation which makes valued contribution to the wider community.
