We want to run a group where children and young people with special educational needs can play, learn and grow together.
About this cause
To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the local government district of Welwyn Hatfield (hereinafter called the area of benefit) and, in particular, the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress, sickness & unemployment To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purposes and to that end to bring together in the Charity’s representatives of the voluntary organisations and statutory authorities within the area of benefit provided that in carrying out these charitable purposes, the Charity will seek to challenge all forms of oppression and inequality and to give priority to working with people whose full participation in society is limited by economic, political and social disadvantage
How this cause brings people in the community together
Potential Kids is a voluntary project based in Hatfield, offering after-school, weekend and some holiday social/activity groups for children and young people, their siblings and families. These are kept small enough in numbers to reduce social anxieties and fears. The sessions are designed to have plenty of space and freedom for the children to use their energy and have fun!
