We want to provide upgraded toilets, disabled access and improved facilities at our centre, benefiting local groups and the wider community.
About this cause
The Company has been formed to benefit the community of Maryburgh and has the following purposes: • Supporting sustainable development in managing community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general. • To provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. • To advance community development, including urban or rural regeneration within the Community and the education of the Community about its environment, culture, heritage and/or history.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will engage with the MAC membership, local community and the wider users of the Amenities Centre. The centre is already used by a range of groups and to host community and social events, however current use is heavily influenced by the current condition. Current groups and users already come from out with the village and we seek to expand and improve to benefit all users.
